Nothing in the forge matches these filters.
A leather cover protects the edge from chipping and you from cuts. I hand-stitch them from thick full-grain leather, made to measure for a specific blade — also for axes bought elsewhere. An outline of the blade on paper is enough.
A forged sickle is a harvest tool, but also a ritual object — used at harvest festivals and in re-enactments of old rites. Cloak pins (brooches) I forge after patterns from excavations: penannular, with a triquetra and with a knot.
Yes. Trace the blade on paper, measure the thickness at the poll and send a photo through the contact form. I make the cover to measure, usually within a week.
Simplest is a thin layer of oil (camellia, gun oil or linseed). For longer storage, microcrystalline wax is better — it doesn't dry out or get sticky.
