The sickle was a harvest tool, but also a ritual object: it accompanied the harvest festival and, in Celtic and Slavic tradition, the gathering of herbs. My sickle has a deep curve to the blade and a clear hammer mark on the spine.
I forge the blade from C70 steel, harden it and sharpen it on the inside of the curve. I turn the handle from ash and fit it on a tang running through its whole length.

I sell sharp items to adults only. An axe and a spear are tools — keep them out of reach of children and do not carry them in public without a good reason.
