In Norse mythology Gungnir is Odin's spear, which never missed its mark. My spearhead has the classic leaf shape — a broad, flat blade with a clear midrib that cuts and thrusts well.
I forge the spearhead from a single bar of 1065 steel: I draw out the blade with the hammer and roll the socket hot around a mandrel. I harden the edges and temper them to 54–56 HRC.
The socket has an inner diameter of 25 mm and a rivet hole, so you can fit the head on a typical ash shaft. If you prefer a ready spear, see “Geirr” — complete, on a shaft.
Ships in 2 working days. The lead time counts from when your payment arrives. Ready pieces ship right away, while made-to-order pieces are forged from scratch — each product says which it is.
Axes and spearheads travel with the edge in a leather or cardboard cover, in a rigid box with padding. Jewellery comes in a linen pouch and a box, ready to give as a gift.
You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. I am liable for conformity of the goods with the contract for 2 years from delivery — a statutory obligation covering defects present at shipping, not the effects of use.
I sell sharp items to adults only. An axe and a spear are tools — keep them out of reach of children and do not carry them in public without a good reason.
